Connecting With QPST and using its file system explorer:
(do not have MSU or PST running with this application - it does everything for you)
- FIRST you must obtain the QPST (oops) program. After downloading it, then double click on it, click the "install" button, then after it extracts, double click on the actual QPST installer program within the folder. Once it's done then proceed.
- Connect the phone to the PC with the mini USB cable
- Open the QPST configuration utility
- Make sure you are on the "Ports" tab
- Ensure that the ports are enabled by clicking the "Enable" button
- If after waiting a bit, it still says "no phone", click the "Add New Port" button
- Choose port(s) from the list on the left, click OK
- Momentarily, the phone should be recognized and appear as "SURF6500-ZRF6500"
- Click on the "Start Clients" menu
- Choose "EFS EXPLORER"
- Make sure the SPC field is set to 000000
- Click OK and let it connect - leave the configuration utility running
- This can be an alternative to using either P2K Commander (under RSD CDMA General) or Bitpim at times for file transfers between your computer and your phone. HOWEVER, QPST sometimes will not allow certain transfers (i.e. will give you a brew 'locked' message) but your mileage may vary.
