how do you make small sound files ringtones?
ok so i made ringtones on my computer with the motorola program and i put them on my phone but it won't allow me to set them as ringers, it just says they're sound files. is there anyway to change them to ringtones?

its according to the type of phone you have because the music file might not be supported!

what kind of phone do you have? what is the firmware on your phone?
the answer to these two questions have a great impact on the final, most correct answer. But, here is a link to a page that shows the general process which is used on the krazr k1m and razr v3m phones. It is important to note that not all phones have the ringtones going in the same place, so if your phone is different than those mentioned (or has a different firmware than what the guide is specific to) you will have to search the filesystem to find where the rest of the ringtones are stored at.
