I recently flashed a sprint V3m to Metro, and I want to change how it looks and get full web access can anyone help or is it even possible to get full web access?
the v3m is not capable of full web with the openwave browser.. i think if you run java apps yuo can get opera mini to give full web, but your metro phone is brew based and not java. all U.S. based cdma carriers run brew based phones. only cdma carriers to offer java are in canada. now, just to clarify, when you say you flashed to metro, you mean the sprint UI is no longer on the phone? you now have a moto UI on your phone? if so, then how about sharing your f/w version with us? i noticed under your profile you are listed as a sprint customer. you can't get any data services to work on sprint's network with a metro UI on the phone(last i read).
Yeah it was on sprints network then i got this monster pack MPC_V3M_01.1A.00r.PRIKK42423_monster_0.1.shx and flashed it to metro i can send pix msg and use metro web but that sucks
Well if you still are with Sprint as the carrier what you want to do it not going to happen. Sprint has there network setup different then all other US CDMA carriers. With that said the data authentication is the issue which is why you will NOT get data services working on a Sprint phone on there network with a different carriers firmware.

I see, so will I be able to skin the phone at least, because its a pretty dull looking phone since i flashed it to metro. Like i got a java download for the V3m to have a media player or itunes setup on the phone. Now being that this used to be a sprint phone is any of that possible???
Before we continue, I think it would be nice if you clarified what carrier you are using. From your comment in the "Flashing your Phone in General" guide, I think I gleaned that your phone started as a Sprint, you wanted to flash it to use on Metro. Is this true? I am going to maybe assume so, since I doubt that you would be able to send pix messages with a metro flashed phone on Sprint. If this is truly the case, then update your phone info in your "My Account" section so we can be better informed as to your current phone model, f/w, and carrier.
thanks
