Virus in hacktherazr.com-PST_7.25.rar
Hope this is the right place to post this.......
Some time ago I installed PST 7.2.3. Later (I BELIEVE) I dl'd PST 7.25 from HTR but never upgraded. Today, after having XP screw up my Moto USB drivers for my Razr, I unpacked the PST 7.25 archive and Nortons AV and said that the patch file (pst_uni_patch.exe) was infected with the backdoor.bifrose virus.
Has anyone else seen this?? Is this a false positive??
I did a quick check and didn't see this version of PST listed, but HTR is the only site that I go to for Razr files.
Any Ideas?

virus disaster.........
Posted: Thu, 11/19/2009 - 16:52 by mark9zeThis might be on the late side but after Googleing the same problem I ended up here again...........No matter what anyone on any forum tells you, never ignore the results of a legitimate virus scan. They may be well intended but if your anti-virus software says there is a threat than remove it asap. The people at Norton, Mcfee, AVG..........know more about computer infections than do the people carelessly posting infected files. If there is doubt about a file than they should replace the bad file with a good one, unless their intent is dishonest. Even if the flagged file is not a true virus, your software will fight with it. If you must have the said file, then delete the one in question and find it from another source, save it to the desktop and then run a locale scan on it to see if it is safe. Some might innocently or not, suggest that you even disable your anti-virus protection. Do not ever do that as it could mean a costly trip to best Buy or at the least rerunning the operation system........................
whatever

I completely agree with what listenman said. Fact is the file does not have a virus. If people want ot believe it does so be it then don't install it. But as mentioned you will not find one on the wb that does not report as it being a virus.
