I don't know what headphones you have but on my S9-HDs the vol control on them control call volume and not for the music.

thinking about upgrading. has anyone successfully hacked this phone (ve240)?

if this phone has been hacked it wasn't by us. this site was mostly devoted to the razr. there's a few of us still hanging around but since the razr has died out most of the hackers have as well...or better yet, moved on to bigger and better. there are a couple of other sites that might be of help. one i can think of, would be modmymoto.com.

Modmymoto has changed to modmymobile and handles a bunch of phones. Even at that they where primarly gsm and this is a cdma model. So any hacks from there would most likely not work.
Even at that the hacks here where primarly to get past limitations of vzws f/w.

My V3m played my music (through the headphones) the best. Every other phone after that has had different volume levels, most of them less . . .
