Sprint --->Vivo
I am considering flashing to Vivo but i have some questions.
1. Will I still have access to my camera?
2. Will I still have data? I use it for mobile web allot and dont want to lose this.
3. I know thair is a guide, but is it really difficult to get the phone flashed? I am a n00b and have never done anything like this before. But i get th efeeling that as long as you can read your good.
4. About how long should it take to flash the firmware?
5. anything I should be on the lookout for?
6. any tips?
7. What all services will I lose if I do this? im not worried about Vision. I will cancel that. But as long as I have text, calls, internet, mp3, and camera, im good.
I plan on doing this this Thursday or Friday. And im really nervous about this. But I really like what i hear about the benefits that the Vivo flash offers. And I guess I can just get a new V3m off craigs list if I mess up too bad. I have changed the SU/SD screens as well as the outer image. But thats nothing compared to this.

I have great sucess with my Sprint to Vivo V3m.
The only reason I did it was to be different and to access things that sprint locks users from.
I did not go into getting WAP, TXT, SMS, MMS and all that because I dont use it.
Flashing may take 3 or more times to work... depends on firmware of your phone.
Once you have flashed and have the Vivo interface with logo on the outside screen, you will need to master reset and clear the phone.
Turn it off when done and plug it in with the usb cable attached to your computer and push your backups to it.
Your phone should work like a phone and you will have all the functions as before, but they may be remapped. I had to order a US keyboard for a V3m that has camera button (speaker phone) speaker phone is now the Sprint camera button with Vivo.
There are a lot of seem edits that will work with Vivo, just use 2742 seem edits and you may play with changing / adding contacts list names also.
I have a lot better battery times, better user interface, and functions that Sprint does not use.
The only function I do not have is combined menus... the vivo menus branch out like a tree and can be a bit confusing. But camera has functions that can be used with the up dwn left rigth menu keys unlike Sprints menu interface.
Plus the music player is much better.
The only draw back with the Video is v.294 stream files play well on Sprint but not on Vivo... they seem to cache slowly and will jerk here and there. So I must use .gp3 or MP4 streamed files.
