SKINNIN THE BUTTON/BAR REVIELED

Aight, well i looked into that one guys pics and saw that he changed the color of the button, which made me wanna do it (of course) so i just kept on opening up .bars with brew to see what was in each one and i found where the button(s) are! along with the bars too ; )

aight, well i cant change mine cuz i got rida photoshop (doh!) but the buttons and bars (along with a shitload of other things) are in landsat.bar and under a/brew/mod/landsat. so open up landsat.bar with brewres and look for:

object 9508 - red bar
object 9506/9507/9512/9518 - red button
object 9519/1920 - long red button?
object 9572 - smaller red bar

theres a few more:
in a/brew/mod/21570 - mtp.bar
open mtp.bar and the button is 5008
in a/brew/mod - dubna.bar
open dubna.bar 9507/9512/9518
9508 is bottom bar
9522 is the bottom bar.

just make sure you backup your landsat.bar and save it somewhere u wont forget!
if you dont know how to change them look here

and if someone does change the button/bar color it'd b nice to save them and attch them here so i can get in on tha action ; )

Give me the exact location of the file you want ( ex /brew/mod/.../....) I don't have the entire filesystem of the v3m backup in a tree. I back them up and zipped each folder I could. So if I have that info I can work it back words and see if I have them. Odds are i do unless like you mentioned the files you want have brew restriction. If that is the case then I more then likely don't have them either becasue they get blocked when you try to back them up.

Not to ask a "stupid" question, but I've tried to load up the .bar files in Photoshop with no success. What are you using to convert them into bmp and then back into bar? I've only been reading these forums for 2 days so forgive me if everyone's answered this question a million times.

Open it in brew tools. Then, get that image, and put another one in it's place. Make the image you want in photoshop.

I've opened it in brew. I know Photoshop. How do I" get that image" out of Brew and replace it when edited?

Not sure if you can "get it out." Just compare the dimensions and make one of equal dimension in photoshop.

Ahh ok. I thought you could extract the files and then edit them and import them again. Thanks anyway.
I'll be reading the documentation on it soon.
