seem for increasing sms limit?
hi, im new here, been learning a TON form this great site!! but after searching and searching! there doesnt seem to be a lot for sprint phones specifically. what im currently looking for is a seem edit for my sprint v3m. looking to increase the character limit for 160 to ? if possible... thanks in advance for any help you can offer! -Chris

It does work on the standard Moto user interface that I do know. also keep in mind some carrieres do not accept more then 160 characters. So even sending one bigger then 160 will send multiple pages so they get the entire txt and this does count as more then 1 txt msg. Each page is considered a txt msg as an FYI. The thing is make a backup of the original seem before making any changes just in case it does cause any issues being you have the Sprint phone with there custom interface. Then you can just put the original seem back on the phone to correct the problem.

Offset 0045, bit 7 - on, Changes SMS count from 140 to 450

btw i have unlimited txt so im not worried about making it 2. the way i get around it now is by sending the first page and then starting another. just trying to find away to avoid this. thanks for you help.
anyone else got any ideas?

As pyde said, it was kind of a long shot. Sprint's service and f/w seems to be quite different in so much as the things the rest of us are able to do on other CDMA carriers and f/w's.
There is another seem, but as I mentioned, your carrier and f/w probably wouldn't support that either.
