pwr_up question!

Hey, first off, thanks for the help with all this stuff. I've changed my lcd screen logo and partially took care of my power up and down screens. When I did the power up screen though, it still says hellomoto in the beginning, then it goes to my animation. Is there a file I must replace for that or is it just a no go and I have to live with it?

Thanks for the help guys!

Yeah, sorry but that's hardcoded into the phone I believe, and there is no getting rid of it.

damn. thanks for the help guys. hell, while I'm at it, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to my phone now? It's a sprint v3m. I don't use the power vision at all and only use it for texting and calls.

Hi, I have been hacking my V3m for some time... now I am back to using Sprint's UI since it has better functionality overall.

You can disable Startup and Shutdown ani-gif's and sounds via PKseem edit for the 710... I made a generic seem list for most all 2742 seem edits for Moto UI and some Sprint functions... Sprint does share some 2742 seem edits along with other seems (offset 55 for example).

At this time my V3m starts up with the Moto screen and loads up the Main screen... I could use the Moto ani-gif from VIVO to have a full Moto startup. Since I found a generic (all UI's) seem edit to instantly shut down when I hold the power button.

thats the bootloader screen

Posted:

thats the bootloader screen and the only way to get rid of it is to change the bootloader on the phone, generally to do that takes flashing the whole firmware.

for instance, I went from 01.09.02 to the Vivo flash and the bootloader changed from the VZW logo to the Hellomoto logo. Then, I flashed back to 01.05.0A and the hellomoto bootloader image was still there. Next flash was an UPgrade back to 01.09.02 and the bootloader went from hellomoto back to vzw logo.

So... changing the bootloader image is dooable with a flash, but I dont think you can just outright remove the bootloader image. I will check that video out though.

I'll second what Dr.Jones stated.

On my spare phone I found

On my spare phone I found that under the NEWC_01.05.0A F/W the "hellomoto" image is there before it goes on to the VZW images. When I used the NEWC_01.09.02 monster, there is no more "HelloMoto" image, it just goes straight to the VZW startup.
