no more EV on V3m since altell 2 VZW

might try loading an older PRL to your phone and see if that fixes your prob. if you've ever read how to turn off ev on your phone you might try checking that setting. don;t know how it would have changed but it would be worth looking into.

HoFo doesn't really like to entertain threads dedicated too much to free DUN, last I read. You coudl try what listenman posted, and then don't go dialing *228 opt 2 anymore on your phone. Also, have you ever used or done any seem edits? Let me know, because I might have an idea.

No I haven't done any seems yet, but have looked at the process, and have all I need for doing it.
I was looking at the EV settings on my phone with RSD, and they all still have references to Alltel. Might I change those to the VZW settings to get EV again?

Well, it's really hard for me to say what's going on with you. For one, I've never had Alltel, and two I haven't used my razr in almost a year now having gone on to smartphones. If all your stuff is still pointing to alltel, then you might not want to mess with that yet. I almost have a sneaking suspicion that your problem might be with the alltel/vzw merger and there might not be an easy fix, or one at all.

You have two sides of almost the same problem going in two threads here. For one, in the other thread you said you got a version of RSD to re-write a setting on your phone, did it stick if you look at the setting from within the phone's menu?

As far as the seem I mentioned, just for kicks pull (DO NOT EDIT) and just see what this seem says: seem 0b09, record 90, bytes 0001. Let me know.

p.s. If you do switch carriers it is a good idea to flash your phone to their firmware first if there is a leaked monster flash file. I don't think there is one for amp'd, there is for Sprint, but it's tricky. Let's first see if we can get you fixed. If you try the prl page, you might want to look at the flashing guides first and do some backups first, just in case, as I think I had some troubles once. You might even try a VZW prl for kicks (back up your original first) and see what happens.

First thing I'll ask is what calling plan you on? you still on an old Alltel plan or has it been switched/updated to a VZW plan.

Second look in the menus of the phone and let us know what PRL file is running on your device currently. he most current PRL is 51731 fyi.

As for DUN working tho is really depends on the calling plan and if anything has been updated on your account. It could be the fact your device is set to Alltel and being you need to have VZW info setup in the device for it to work now that Alltel is VZW that may be why it will not connect correctly. Fact is tho like mentioned the whole DUN thing is iffy now since VZW made changes to there network. And with that said the last thing you want to do or try is using DUN with EV turned on. If you do it is almost a given you will get slammed with a huge bill as they will charge you for your usage.

Last thing I'll mention is don't think you will be able to get your current Razr on Sprint. They WILL NOT allow any foreign device on there network what so ever. If is not bought threw Sprint, runs there software, and has there branding on it the answer will be NO. I also believe Amp is the same way. Your best hope would be MetroPCS or Cricket.
