Network Connection Lost - is it my userid?
Could it be my userid? I have a space between my first and last name. Is that a no no? I don't have any trouble logging in on my computer but when I tried to use the Verizon razr hack I just keep getting the network connection lost message.

you will only get the connection lost message while using the free wap, if our wap server temporarily goes down and automatically gets restarted... so... that message is when you're about to go to a page and the phone recognizes teh wap server is done, seconds later it should be back up, and the page you were trying to go to should work.. just keep retrying
unless you get this ALL the time, then we need to know more, because the free wap server doesnt crash every 30 seconds

I do notice that there is a blinking red lock icon with a small arrow at the top when trying to connect. Can anyone help?

Posted: Tue, 10/30/2007 - 04:47 by dustin0I think i know your problem, go to your proxy setup where you entered your username and everythin.g Scroll down to after the wap.hacktherazr.com and you should see HTTP click on that and select WAP. that should solve your problem. Hopefully

Posted: Tue, 10/30/2007 - 05:14 by pyde_pypperI've setup free WAP numerous times for friends and as an FYI changing that from HTTP to WAP will not do anything is my guess. Personally I've changed it on mine just to see and it does nothing. In all the other I've setupo I've never done that and it always works just like it should. Doesn't matter if I do it via the phone menu or by using PST get the same results.
Peggy; you might want to try going into your profile here at the site and putting and _ symbol in between the names like I have in my user ID. while yo are at it change your current password to something really simple wih no more the 5 character. After doing that then you'll have to go back to the phone and change the user ID & password in the HTR proxy you have setup. While doing that just double check each setting one more time and see what you get. Still having issue if you don't mind, go ahead and use PST to backup the browser file and e-mail it to me so I can look it over and see if there is something messed up with it. If there is I can edited for you and send it back to you so you can write it to the phone.

I'll check back later. Thanks for the assistance!
Pardon me! As soon as I posted this, the proxy was up and it worked like a charm! That space between names must have been the problem! Thanks so much!

My guess is it did have something to do with the user name but it could have been the password depending on how long or detailed it was.
