My ESN changed after I flashed
I heard that the Bell firmware was similar to the Telus firmware(which I flashed to), so I decided to post here.
After flashing from Verizon to Alltell to Telus, I got everything working fine, I just noticed that my ESN changed. Is this normal and will I still be able to use Verizon's online ESN changer? Can I still use the ESN listed underneath the battery or would I have to use the "new" one?
Edit: The ESN that displays under "Phone Status" on my phone differs from the one underneath the battery. It is an 11 digit number, no letters.

Either number should work fine in all honesty tho. You can activate a phone by using the HEX, DEC or if it is a newer phone by using the MEID number. It's nothing odd mine did the same thing when I flashed to Telus from the Alltel upgrade firmware, and I still use the HEX ( ie ESN) to activate it and it took fine.

I also tried doing a *228 then 2 on my phone, cause supposedly, one can do that on the Telus firmware. My phone is constantly switching from saying "Verizon Wireless" on the banner to "No Service" and I can't get any service at all. I had to rewrite my backup CDMA PRI file to get service again. So *228 2 not work?
*228 1 however does work. I was able to switch between two phones successfully and managed to make calls (I just called voicemail). I don't know about text messaging though, so I am assuming it works.
