sounds like you may have the latest firmware on your phone, so about the only process i've seen that works is the p2k commander with msu. here's a link that describes the process. come on back with any other questions.

well... you have come to the right place. If you want to use that method there, there is something that I have managed to do which should help that method. However, that is the long way of doing things and is not free if you dont have the 15 dollar a month VPACK. You can check my guide to restore the old ringtone functions that used to work with the original v3m phones from verzion:

http://www.hacktherazr.com/guides/verizon-razr-v3m-v3c/programming/resto...

Also, something that you can do is to use p2k commander to upload the ringtones to the /motorola/shared/ringtone directory - return to the root of the phones filesystem (a/) and delete the MyToneDB.db file then power cycle the phone (turn off/turn on). This will make the phone rebuild the ringtone database (which is stored in that file) and it will see the files you have added to the phone and enable them to be used as a ringtone.

As mentioned try turning the phone off and pull the battery. Then while doing that reboot your comp. Once the comp is up put the battery back in and leave the phone off. then plug it in and see if it goes to charge mode. If is does unplug it and then power the phone on. this time fire up MSU first and then plug the phone in and see if it will find it like it should.

My first question is why are

My first question is why are you deleting things if you don't know what they are or how they will affect things. My guess is you ended up deleting a file that was in use which is why you are having all these issues now. Some times you can put the file back and it will work but other times it won't and it forces you to flash the phone to get it back to working order again

Second what MMS stuff are you deleting in specific?

Third have you gotten back to the point of your comp seeing the phone yet when you plug it in. If not that is going to be the first thing you need to work on. Until Windows sees it correctly again you are not going to be able to do anything really because you won't have a way to work with it until Windows sees it.

What drivers are you using?
What version of MSU do you have?
What firmware version is currently on the phone?
