I Need constint Roaming
I want to set my v3m to roam constantly because it cost me 25 cents a minute without roaming and 20 cents a minute on roaming that's write only ''20'' cents on roaming for some unexplainable reason Verizon's cheapest prepaid plan works like that. I'm going to use the phone in dingmans ferry pa (pike county) and nothing works there there's a local carrier called cellular one of north east pa so Verizon roams on there network, lets get to the point DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO TWEAK,HACK,SEEM EDIT so the phone SHOULD ONLY ROAM?
Don't know of a real way to do what you want without...

Posted: Sat, 06/27/2009 - 01:25 by Ladnot sure how this helps... but my telus flashed v3m (really a v3c due to flash, but i wont go into that) even after a *228 opt 1 and 2 always showed the roaming arrow. i will admit, i half assed the flash because i already had a working v9m and i got bored/frustrated with the v3m lol.

Also a V9m VZW->USCC SPARKO_etc (current)
And a totally plagerized signature!

And, yeah the Telus flash is a real pain and tedious, and definately not worth it at all for the V3m, especially since it makes it a V3c.

Real quick tho as I've always said Telus flashing is a real PITA that is for sure. One reason I never really got into posting alot about it as most folks will not figure it all out and getting it working correctly very easily that is for sure.

I would say try to find a way to get a Cellular One of NE PA .prl file, but it won't work anywyas because from what I understand all of Cellular One's main services are GSM - oops, I take that back, just went to their web site and they offer CDMA phones, so I guess if you could aquire one of their .prl files from a V3m and load it successfully to your phone, it MIGHT accomplish what you wish.
But you should FIRST back up your existing .prl file, HOWEVER let's also see what pyde has to say as well, 'cause he always has some gr8 info as well.

Personally I try at all cost back in the day not to roam so I've never really looked into the idea of trying to force a device to roam as in my case it would make no sense being I'm on post paid.
I haven't been here in a while but you could try tracking a PRL down from this link. But as mentioned for sure backup the one you currently have so you could put it back if need be.
