I bought a used v3 and have questions
I bought a v3 off of craigsilst. I use t-mobile. The phone starts up with the at&t logo, but I was informed that this has been unlocked to work with t-mobile (and it does).
My question is ... how can I tell which model I have? I think it's a v3c , but only from images I have seen on the net. Is there a way that I can tell for sure.
Also, if I make any modifications, will this lock my phone back to at& t?
Last questions is... is at&t now considered "Cingular" ?

Posted: Tue, 04/15/2008 - 15:45 by jram74If it uses a sim card it is not a V3C. It most likely is a plain V3. As for the modding most mods will not lock the phone unless you flash it with a mp that is locked to a certian carrier, and yes AT&T is the new cingular
