no... like i know how to open it and start it all... but in the QPST service program...
a box comes up as phone selection...
but i don't see anything but a Work offline and like a box with alot of different things i can pick?
how do i get my phone to show up there?
do i have to have like pst running or something?
QPST should see your phone without running any other programs. IT's a moto program so it's made to do this.
If you're phone isn't showing up make sure it's connected via usb. Also make sure you've downloaded the right driver versions.
Check out Mark Ventures site http://mark.cdmaforums.com He's got tons of helpful information there on the Razr, and drivers.

for some reason qpst doesnt automatically figure out where you phone is located. i cant remember where this is, some sort of config or setup once you start that main qpst program
but basically if you're phone doesnt show up in that list of ports, then you need ti add it. if you dont know which port your phone is plugged into, just keep adding new ports until your phone shows up.
for instance it only shows like port 1-3 so if you're phone is on 4 you need to first add that part then it will show up, you select it, then you goto something like efs explorer
Open up your device manager through Windows. If using Windows 7 you can right click on my computer through the start menu and choose manage. From there you will the see device manager, but there are many ways to get to it. If you cant find it from these instructions, google "how to get to device manager in Windows [Your Version Here]". Anyways, once you are in the device manager, plug in your phone, if you have in fact installed the right driver, your phone should show up in the Ports (COM & LT) section. The port number of the phone will be the last part of the line after the device name as it is named by the driver. Now open up QPST Configuration, click the Ports tab, and then select Add New Port... If your phone was, for example assigned COM 5 by the device manager, then you need to type "COM5" into the field labeled Port, and "COM5" into the field labeled Port Label. Once you do this you can do all sorts of nifty things through the Service Programming tool, including changing your NAI option so you can tether certain phones that are not meant to be tethered , or perhaps update/roll back your PRL, or even mess with your RF setting (not recommended).
