Getting rid of Moto startup animations....

So, I've flashed my VZW v3m to VIVO and I've done the hack to change the startup and shutdown animations, but when I start my phone up I still get the whole "Hello Moto" picture immediately after powering on the phone, then it gives a short animation of the Motorola logo, and THEN it shows my new startup animation. Any way to get rid of the Moto shit or replace it?

I'm not positive, since I have yet to replace the s/u and s/d animations on either of my Vivo flashes, but I am going to speculate that the seem edit might be found in the 2742 seem. BUT since I'm not sure, BACK UP YOUR WORKING SEEM FIRST, and then enter these values:

Seem = 2742, bytes = 0000, record = 0001; click "Load from Phone".

Offset 001d, bit 3, UNcheck, that MAY disable the moto anime on startup (this is because the guides say to check this bit to enable the moto anime, so this is the speculation)

Offset 0031, bit 1, uncheck the guides say this will disable the moto anime on shut down.

Then click "Save to Phone".

Now, again, I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THAT I HAVEN'T done this myself, so PLEASE proceed with caution on this. I see you're relatively new here, but have been fairly successfull so far at the stuff you've done and fixing your problems, so . . .

1st, welcome to the Vivo and
2nd, good luck

Those seems are correct and should work fine to disable it on any standard Moto firmware does matter what carrier as long as the phone does not have a custom firmware like VZW or Sprint.

Agreeing with pyde here.

Agreeing with pyde here. also, aside from disabling the moto screen, you can change the moto splash screen to something else if the edit doesnt do what you want.

Look around a little in the guides section here, you should find the info you need. Two guides come to mind to help you, but if you want to totally get rid of the moto splash, you'll have to finish up with the info in this thread.

The first I link for you below will tell you how to change the startup/shutdown animations, but I recommend using RSD CDMA General instead place of PST everywhere PST is recommended in the guide section here. So, the first link is how to change your animations, but use the second link first to get and setup RSD CDMA General. Hope that's clear enough.

good luck and welcome
