getting games on the Sprint V3M

GET GAMES ON SPRINT V3M!!! 4 FREE TOO!!! YAY :D
you need:

-BitPim
-game (.jar file)
-program http://www.cs.unm.edu/%7Edolphin/V3m/V3m.zip
BitPim MUST recognize your sprint v3m phone to do this
ok, what you need to do is extract the v3m.zip file. in the v3m folder there is a file called v3m.exe- all you need to do is drag your .jar file into the v3m.exe and it will extract a 1.jar and 1.jad file. then drag and drop the file into BitPim path= motorola/shared/jas/temp/install while the phone is on the main menu*. then unplug the phone and turn it off and back on. if everything is done right, the game should be on the game menu

*the phone must be on MAIN menu! NOT GAME MENU OR ANY OTHER MENU! i always put it on menu before connecting it to my pc and it always works

...only some games and apps work because the Sprint V3m doesn't run Java. i get my games from http://www.mobango.com most of these files work fine
...also, none of the games will have sounds(maybe because sprint v3m isnt java). i dont know why but hopefully someone will come up with a way to make them work with sound :D

any questions just post them

Did you try the guide in the guide's section on how to set it up? Choose the COM port and your phone from the list (you can try Sprint as the carrier and see if there's an option for v3cm, if not, try Verizon v3cm and see it that does it).

Hm... I don't think you can add files with bitpim... does it really say to use it? What about p2kcommander?

Cleaning this post up might help a little. After putting the file into the v3m.exe it extracts 2 files, which one do you put on your phone both or just one? Having them put the phone on main menu before telling them what to do might help also. Just MO.

My question is... the Spring v3m DOES run Java so why are you saying it can't? I know this thread is dug up from the past, and I saw this thread back in March and never noticed that. The Spring v3m IS Java. So... :?:

LOOK, you put the 2 files in the bitpim directory: .jar AND .jad. if bitpim doesnt work for u then dat suxxx because bitpim is the only way to get them in. and i dont know if sprint v3m does have java or not. i just put dat there for some reason but dont listen to it. who cares. just get bitpim working, plug in your phone, press menu button on your phone and drag and drop the TWO files(.jar & .jad) into the directory while your phone is the menu(the main menu where it says web, bluetooth, media player, on demand...). then unplug your phone and restart it. OK?

Sorry if I pissed you off, wasn't trying to. I'm not a Sprint person, just replying so that other people who do have Sprint wouldn't be confused.
