And as for nice people there are plenty of them. I've become personal friends with a select group of people just as I have over here at HTR. However most of the gurus are pretty quite as they just get bothered way to much so that is another reason why some folks can be a bit touchy to say the least. To many folks want to be spoon fed and they do not deal with that. They expect people to look first before asking or wanting the details just handed to them. Specially do to the fact it is all posted already.
Now if you go into say the BB, LG...etc forums there are all kinds of loud mouth clowns that IMO need a swift smack upside the head.

Yeah the LG forums are filled with cranky people. Last time I was in there was during the LG Chocolate Touch topic. Seriously they know nothing about European phones coming to America. They wanted a replica of that Black label series one from Europe/Asia to come over. Even though LG and vzw had a model like that in mind it apparently failed in the user testing phase because no one liked it. And who would the thing is ridiculously tall. Anyways like I said they don't get that dump phones from Euro/Asia are way more advance then the dump phones here.
Yeah the Moto vzw forum can be the more reasonable one. Though it is really barren now since the Droid topic left.
Just as an FYI though while in the Moto vzw forums be extra careful around the E815 users. You do not want to rub them the wrong way.

I joined there near the same time as here, but their threads can get sooo long that it can be tedious to read. But read you must. Lest you be flamed. I guess kbman's signature says it all and (especially over there) it makes the most sense: "Read more, post less".
Also, like pyde says the folks in the VZW Moto forums are great folks (kbman is one of them) and they have alot of very useful info to share, but like Sailor says, alot of those guys have been into Moto hacking since the E815 and they have probably forgot more than we could ever learn.
And if you want to really read some drama and premadonna stuff, try checking out the Motorola Droid pre-release thread(s). Yeah, there's three of them (the first two closed) with total posts hitting over 10,000 and over all hits over 1,000,000. There's some real jerks in that one, must have come from the BB and LG threads and also very new members as well, just look at their join dates.
