V3 versus V3m/V3c
Usually, I just ignore this, but it's starting to bug me.
Almost half the posts in the V3 forums are actually for the V3c or V3m. If you open the battery compartment of your phone and pop the battery out, you'll see at least one sticker with some text on it. Somewhere in there, it'll say "Model:" and then your model. If it's V3c or V3m, your post belongs in the forums at the top of this page.
If it truly is V3 (or V3i or V3x), then post away here.
Also, V3 phones come from GSM carriers (cingular and t-mobile being the biggest) while V3c and V3m phones come from CDMA carriers (verizon, alltel, and sprint spring to mind).
So, if you have Cingular or T-Mobile, post here.
Verizon or Sprint, post above.

The only thing I see that could be it is this line of text;

I have gone through the manual and every setting on the phone trying to find this out?

Over the weekend I called Motorola's customer service and explained that I wanted to know what version it was. They had me do a *#06# for the phone's serial number and came back only to tell me that the phone was a Razr V3, I said I know that but I need the digit after V3 and she said there wasn't one.
Is this correct and if so can I use free WAP?

Posted: Mon, 06/25/2007 - 12:25 by mike_holtzThen you just have a Razr V3. I have AT&T aswell an i just have the V3 Razr. The only razrs available for cingular (AT&T) is the V3xx, V3i, and the V3 that comes in Black, Blue, or Pink. (I have the Black V3 Razr.)

Though i have found a different site for the V3 Black.

Posted: Mon, 06/25/2007 - 17:45 by pyde_pypperhere's you info on WAP it's in the Cingular hacks forum. FYI most of the guides are relative to CDMA Razr's and not your GSM model. Altho this link should give you the settings for WAP tho, can't vouch myself on how Cingular deals with the billing on it tho, being you couldn't pay me to take there service had them ages ago and got screwed so they can pound sand IMO. I would assume it just burns mins tho but DO NOT QUOTE me on that.

PP - there seems to be a problem with APN, what ever that is? Was this ever resolved?

Posted: Wed, 06/27/2007 - 12:30 by polycat33Guys, don't do WAP. It's NOT free with Cingular, you will get charged, and it could be hefty depending on how long you spent on. If you see in the sticky at the top of the Cingular area, there is a topic on how to do free WAP for cingular and it has been edited to say that it is NOT FREE. If you really want WAP you'd be better off purchasing it monthly through Cingular since you'll pay more using it "free" through the Hack the Razr proxy.
