FYI, to anyone thinking of using that v3m file you may want to think twice about it, word of mouth is there are some glitchs in it. VZW just released a new NEWC_01.09.02 file. It has not been leaked yet but supposedly stores will have it soon for flash updates, so then hopefully it will get leaked.

Posted: Sat, 11/25/2006 - 17:30 by heidiandjeffBiker...And will this feature enable me to re-map my HOME keys??? I have version NEWC_01.05.0A for VZW. The phone goes back under the 15 day clause if I can't change it by 10 am tomorrow. Not going to mees with it if it doesn't. They are not available except the down.
Reference also to SEEM 2742/0000/offset 0006c Bit 3 is the only one checked on mine and the line also reads :
Settings>Personalize>Home Screen>Home Keys(limited), Layout (Blocked)
That mean anything to anyone? Changing the Check does nothing.

Posted: Sat, 11/25/2006 - 19:30 by heidiandjeffWell the phones are "un-modded", Cleared/Reset, and packed back up. I will have 2 new V3Ms tomorrow that I can work with :D :D USCC allows U to change everything- Keys, music stuff, and those damn red bars.
The price from VZW was right...$30 each w/bluetooth headsets, but this isn't about price...well in a way...yeah. I'm not gonna pay over 80 for this phone!! The g/f really wanted the pink, but she's goona settle for silver and skin it. And VZW couldn't port my old numbers due to some geographic bullshit so maybe this is all for the best. If there is any info anyone needs off my new one (USCC) let me know and I'll do my best to get it when I can.
OH CRAP - left the SD card in my phone... don't wanna give that back to Verizon.
WAY TO GO VERIZON - and I coulda brought U more customers too LOTS OF THEM. but not now.
Still love the V3M!!!!!

My VZW V3m suites me just fine!
I have coverage EVERYWHERE!!!
I can listen to my audio ANYWHERE!!
And I can even connect to the internet either on the phone thru WAP or thru the phone on my laptop with DUN!
I couldn't care less about the red bars (I will change them when possible but to me that is just a OS thing.)
As for shortcut keys, It's a freakin phone man. LOL
My phone does more then I would have ever expected and if I need more I use the laptop. sheesh
