Is there any software like
Posted: Sun, 11/16/2008 - 19:48 by Stomper001Is there any software like MotoKit or RadioComm that works w/ Windows Vista? I've tried downloading RadioComm but it tells me it only supports Windows 2000/XP...
As far as I know of No
Posted: Mon, 11/17/2008 - 05:57 by pyde_pypperAs far as I know of No neither of those programs have a version that is supported by Vista. Not sure what version of Radiocomm you have but you could look for the most recent 11.6.2 and see if that supports Vista or not. I know for sure the older version don't. The other thing you could try is using compatability mode in Vista to see if it runs right.

Thank you for the advice,
Posted: Mon, 11/17/2008 - 09:07 by Stomper001Thank you for the advice, but I forgot the home computer had XP so I just used that (I was using my laptop previously....). Well, if this happens again I'll have to try that...
Actually, as a courtesy to any Vista users out there, I tried running RadioComm 11.0.3 in compatibility mode and just using it to restart the phone, for testing purposes. Running it in compatibility mode for XP doesn't seem to work, but I got it to work just fine running in compatibility mode for Windows 2000. This might be something worth putting in the quick help section on the first page of this thread...
yea that info sounds about
Posted: Mon, 11/17/2008 - 09:51 by pyde_pypperyea that info sounds about right that you have to use Win 2000, owever that is about all it will do tho. Once in Radiocomm to move forward and use other parts of the software it needs to suspend you phone so things can be read or written to it, and that is where the problem comes. It will not read or write to it in the suspend transition. Just as an fyi as I just got word and a copy this morning there is another new version of Radiocomm on the float. Not sure it it would work with Vista or not but you may want to look into that. The newest version of Radiocomm is now version 11.7.4
