Fixed VZ nav On vivo! This is How to!
Hi all. I have a v3m With VIVO. I could get into VZ Nav fine, type in the address, ect. Everything, but it would just sit there, and hang on the "getting gps"....guess it would be the loading-ish screen?....now, I looked for a fix. And here it is. I read where these specifix seems need to be checked, but I think the HEX is what it should be, not necessarly the bit.
Old Seem
Offset 006F bit 1 - checked
2742 Offset 0072: Bit 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 Checked. (It would be "de" in the hex)
New, WORKING SEEM
Offset 006F bit 1 - checked
2742 Offset 0072: Bit 3, 5, 6, 7 Checked. (It would be "e8" in the hex)
If you tried the seem edits previously known and it doesnt work, please try typing the e8 in and save it, see if it works. fixed it for me!!
Please Sticky!

Fixed VZ nav On vivo! This is How to!
Posted: Sun, 05/11/2008 - 08:22 by jeffpas2I was checking around on HoFo a couple months ago for problems with VZ NAV. After trying different configs. that they were suggesting and the problems they were having, I figured I would try my own configurations with the bits, this is what I found worked for me and posted there:
Dont know if anybody tried this yet for 70-72. I just altered72, so my setup is
fe,7f,d8. Sound settings is intact, video works and VZ Nav seems to run as quick as my wifes original (V3m). I'm flashed to vivo and before this configuration I ran them side by side and hers loaded much faster, now they seem to be equal.
That was in March, and I'm still using it today. There were problems when altering bits 70-71-72. People were losing sound settins, no or short video recording, and slow VZ NAV response time. These settings work great for me, I don't know if it makes a difference what ui is being used or not??
Hope this helps

Posted: Wed, 06/11/2008 - 18:30 by teddyearpI've been checking out this thread for awhile now and decided to give it a try so I could give another experience about it.
I had never used VZ NAV at all before I did the edit in the first post, so I don't know about it hanging on 'getting gps . . . .', but anyway I edited the hex as the first post and nav worked fine. Then I re-read jeffpas2's post and started wondering what he meant by video duration, so I tried my video cam and sure enough, it had a '1' at the top of the screen and no matter how I set it, that was the longest vid I could shoot, 1 second.
So, just a quick as I could, I changed the hex to match what jeffpas2's post said to (actually only had to change the hex for bit 72) and got video back up to three minutes. Now, I wasn't able to try nav until today, but in the meantime, I got my co-worker to let me look at his pretty much stock 01.09.02 V3m and the hex for offset 72 matches what mine is set to now.
In conclusion, VZ nav worked just fine today, in fact faster than the last time so I will second what jeff says about seem 2742, offset(s) 70, 71, and 72 the hex should read: fe, 7f, and d8.
