The Final Word on USCC Free WAP
SO!
After combing these and other forums for a while now, I have come to the conclusion that you need EasyEdge access to use the free wap guide. The upside is that EasyEdge costs $9.95 a month for unlimited access, where as with Verizon, you don't need to sign up for a service in order to use the free WAP, but it charges by the kb.
EasyEdge is a month by month payment, with no contract or anything. I am going to order it for one month just to try it, and then maybe cancel it. Seems simple enough.
If any of what I am saying is wrong, please correct me. I just wanted to write down everything I've learned over the last week, in case it helps other people who are stuck along the path.
So first off, on my USCC v3m (which is the one with the microSD slot in it yes?), I entered the setup code (which is #073887*), which you have to enter fast otherwise it doesnt work, so after practicing a couple times I got it.
Then it asks for some sort a security code, which is 000000 by default. That is 6 zeros. Then to access any of the menu items here in the programming menu, it asked for a "subsidy password" which I couldn't find anywhere.
Turns out, its tricky to find the subsidy password for your phone. Finally I found it thanks to this little guide here:
http://modmymoto.com/wiki/index.php/General_CDMA_Seem_Editing
But I am sure that this info exists on HTR aswell.
There was really no reason for me to find my subsidy password in order to configure WAP but I wanted to have it anyways.
So back to WAP, most guides say you are supposed to find a menu item called "Web Sessions" at the top of the list in the programming menu. It was nowhere on the list, so after reading around some more, I found out that you can use the browser code to find the web sessions page. I entered in ##2769737 and found the web sessions page. From there it was a breaze to follow all the steps in the Verizon Free WAP guide.
Then I encountered the "Network Not Available" error. After reading around, I have come to believe that there is no other way to use the free WAP on USCC without ordering EasyEdge. Bummer, but not too much of a bummer.
So that is what I have learned so far, I hope it is right.
Also I was curious about other ways of browsing the net from a razr. Obviously there is not wireless a/b/g chip in the phone, but there is bluetooth. Is it possible to have a computer with bluetooth, which is also connected to the internet, toss an internet connection to my phone through bluetooth? I would only be able to browse in my house... but still. That would be cool.
Thanks!

As for the network connection error you got, are you sure that you have the HTR WAP info setup precisely as the guide states? And did you wait sufficient time to allow your username and password to be synced to the proxy server? Did you try again after a few minutes incase it was during the time that the server restarts?
may want to peruse the FAQ section, especially this page:

It's pretty sad, but I intend to activate said phone on USCC since I live in their area just so I can see and then contribute whatever hacks acn be done on this f/w and carrier.
I just hope it doesn't cost too much for me to 'test' this out.

Also a VZW -> V3m flashed to Telus (as a V3c) and active on USCC's network
