Feature File In vivo Flash question
You know how when you flash , you have to load the "Feature File" back onto your phone with PST Phone Programmer , there is a place that says say for under Loud Ring -> Test Msgs 91 , now everyone knows people have been having a problem with a limit of 100 txts with the vivo flash INBOX , if you edit this to be like instead of 91 to be 500 , that the inbox will hold more text messages? make sense?

In all my flashes I've never had to use that file, and on some flashes when you do write it back to the phone is causes major issues, that I do know. I also would not make the guess that is the case either tho. If you do change that you may end up with other issue. It's really not a good plan to change things that are not documented, unless you are willing to deal with issues.

Posted: Wed, 04/23/2008 - 07:57 by Magnitude9EntI never used that file and everything always worked "PERFECT" but like pyde_pypper said "It can cause major issues". A good friend of mine did that and was just "VERY VERY VERY" lucky to get his phone back up and running. Things like no bars, phone shutting off by itself, black screen etc were just some of the issues. Just flash with the instructions and you'll be fine. :wink:

1) Every time i wrote a feature file (With RSD or PST) to my vivo flash, I could not use text messaging at all- "Inbox setup incomplete."
2) That would not work anyway, only because, if you'll note, it is under the "Loud" category. e.g., it is using the Ringtone with ID number 91 on the receipt of a text message. What would loud have to do with quantity?
