Enabling Funlights, Event lights, and the Club lights mods
NOTE: THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THE V3C/V3M! I REPEAT, THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THE V3C/V3M! THIS IS A V3 MOD ONLY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
For the following guide, I'm going to assume that you already have basic knowledge of editing SEEMs and such. Now then, let's get the obvious questions out of the ways, shall we?
Beginners, please start at the very TOP of this post. For the advanced users, scroll down to the very BOTTOM of this post.
Beginners:
Q: What is Funlights?
A: Funlights is a mod that allows your phone to flash its lights to a specific pattern when you get an incoming phone call. You can make it flash like a strobe light, or a slow fade-in fade-out pattern.
Q: What is Event lights?
A: It's exactly the same as Funlights, but it applies to when you get text messages and voicemails.
Q: What is Club lights?
A: Club lights is unlike the funlights and event lights mods. Club lights makes your phone SOUND SENSITIVE. If you clap your hands, the lights on your phone will flash. If you play a song with bass, the lights on your phone will sync to the music. It's pretty freaking awesome. To help draw a clearer picture of what it's like, check out the link below:
Pretty awesome? You want it for your phone? I bet you do! AND here's how you do it!
First, download SEEM 0032 Record 0001 and modify the following offsets:
Funlights
Offset 63 Bit 2 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
(On your phone, it's under Ring Styles > Ring Lights)
Event lights
Offset 65 Bit 0 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
Club lights
Offset 59 Bit 3 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
Offset 63 Bit 3 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
(On your phone, it's under Settings > Personalize > Rhythm Lights)
Now you're halfway there! All you have to do now is upload the funlight.pat file to your "a/mobile/audio" directory. If you do not have the funlight.pat file, you can download it HERE. Use P2K Commander to create the directory "a/mobile/audio" if you do not have it on your phone.
Once you've done the edits, created the directory, and uploaded the funlight.pat file, restart your phone and you're set!
Advanced users/quick recap:
1.) Download SEEM 0032 Record 0001 and do the following edits:
- Offset 59 Bit 3 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
- Offset 63 Bit 2 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
- Offset 63 Bit 3 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
- Offset 65 Bit 0 (ENABLE/CHECKED)
2.) Create the "a/mobile/audio" folder on your phone.
3.) Upload the funlight.pat file (found HERE) to the "a/mobile/audio" directory on your phone.
4.) Restart your phone.
5.) Show off to all your friends!

Posted: Thu, 08/24/2006 - 04:49 by styolverified working... not sure if everything worked exactly asi its supposed to, but it seemed to do it.
the club lights was especially cool and did light up according to sound.. it doesnt light up according to your ringtone, but instead can sense music from a cd player, clapping, talking, etc.
the other two seemed to only work when you had the phone open.
also something kinda neat that happened was a hidden small, led lit, bluetooth logo all of a sudden appeared on the front LCD of the phone.
result: VERIFIED

Posted: Sat, 12/30/2006 - 07:21 by Mathiashello. i have the v3m through USCC. for some reason i cant get changes the the seem to save. i tried editing other seems, and it worked fine. but shen i make changes to seem 32, it has no affect. i make the changes, and save it, but when i reload the seem, it is as it was originally. any help would be awesome.

Posted: Sun, 12/31/2006 - 04:21 by styolsorry about the confusion, this post was made before the v3m was even available... i have changed the thread to say at the top that it does not work for the v3c and v3m, as they are pretty much the same phone (with the only different being the microsd card) which at any rate is vastly different then the "V3" which this mod applies to...
i wish this worked, its pretty cool.. i did it to my buddies v3

Seriously, I wished this worked too... my friend's ROKR had it on his phone stock and I showed it to him. Everybody thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

but why can't it works on V3M, from everyone that i've asked, they says v3 and v3m are the same phone, does the phone came out with the feature and phone carrier disabled them or wher does the funlight.pat file came from? some one written the code? whats in funlight.pat file anyway?
