Easy, free 30-sec hack - add ringers, wallpapers, and videos

WELCOME
This is a simple little hack I found out to add ringtones, pictures, ringers to your RAZR (I have a V3m, but it should work on a V3c)
You will need:
1. P2kCommander
2. A RAZR (duh!) :roll:

FIRST STEPS

Do these steps first, and then go down to RINGTONES/WALLPAPERS/VIDEOS.

1. Attack your phone to the computer with USB (get the Guide for it)
2. Open P2k Commander
3. In the top-left drop down box goto P2k Mobile Phone
4. Double-click on "a"
5. Double click on "motorola"
6. Double click on "shared"
7. The bottom-right corner should say
"Usb p2k device found, phone connected!"
"GENERIC FAILURE."
"Volume name fail!"
This is normal. If it doesn't say this, close P2k, unhook & restart your phone. Then start at step 1.

RINGTONES
1. Find a ringtone .mp3 or .midi or .qcp on your computer, and drag it to an easy-to-remeber location (like the harddrive, C:/)
2. In P2k Commander, double-click "audio"
You should be at "a/motorola/shared/audio/"
3. In the left pane (P2k Mobile Phone) scroll to the bottom and click on whitespace to unselect everything in that pane.
4. In the right pane (C:/ or ringtone folder), navigate to your ringtone and click on it ONCE.
5. On the bottom-right corner, there is a button called "Copy". Click it, and it will copy your ringer to the opposite pane.
6. When it is finished copying (it will freeze if it is a file near 500kb - WAIT FOR IT TO UNFREEZE - DON'T CLICK "ENDNOW"), then right-click on it in the left pane (Mobile Phone).
7. Uncheck "System , Survive Master Reset/Clear"
8. Now close P2k Commander, unhook your phone, and goto Menu -> Get It Now -> Get Tunes & Tones and check out your tone! Sweet!

WALLPAPERS
1. Find a picture .JPG or .JPEG or .GIF (for screensavers) on your computer, and drag it to an easy-to-remeber location (like the harddrive, C:/)
2. In P2k Commander, double-click "picture"
You should be at "a/motorola/shared/picture/"
3. In the left pane (P2k Mobile Phone) scroll to the bottom and click on whitespace to unselect everything in that pane.
4. In the right pane (C:/ or picture folder), navigate to your picture and click on it ONCE.
5. On the bottom-right corner, there is a button called "Copy". Click it, and it will copy your ringer to the opposite pane.
6. When it is finished copying (it will freeze if it is a file near 500kb - WAIT FOR IT TO UNFREEZE - DON'T CLICK "ENDNOW"), then right-click on it in the left pane (Mobile Phone).
7. Uncheck "System , Survive Master Reset/Clear"
8. Now close P2k Commander, unhook your phone, and goto Menu -> Get It Now -> Get PIX & FLIX -> My PIX and check out your new picture! Awsome!

VIDEOS
1. Find a video .3g2 on your computer, and drag it to an easy-to-remeber location (like the harddrive, C:/)
2. In P2k Commander, double-click "video"
You should be at "a/motorola/shared/video/"
3. In the left pane (P2k Mobile Phone) scroll to the bottom and click on whitespace to unselect everything in that pane.
4. In the right pane (C:/ or video folder), navigate to your video and click on it ONCE.
5. On the bottom-right corner, there is a button called "Copy". Click it, and it will copy your ringer to the opposite pane.
6. When it is finished copying (it will freeze if it is a file near 500kb - WAIT FOR IT TO UNFREEZE - DON'T CLICK "ENDNOW"), then right-click on it in the left pane (Mobile Phone).

TROUBLESHOOTING

Q: My picture/video folder doesn't show up on P2k Commander.
A: This is because you have no pictures/videos. Take a picture/video and they will show up.

If you want to text these items, it will work (but I've only tried it on PIX and ringtones, but videos should work too).

The ringtones you cannot set to ringtones. :shock: You can play it and rename it, but right now you can't actually set it to your ringer. If anyone finds how to set it as ringer, please put back a post.
