:?: I accidentally deleted my customer_opining.gif. I tried putting it back with P2K commander and also Bitpim. it looks like it goes back but when I try starting the phone all i get is the verison V and then Searching for network. This really isn't a big problem but I was wondering if there is any way to get the customer_opening.gif back into my phone

I only use BitPim so I don't know anything about P2K commander. Does P2K commander allow you to change file extensions of files on the phone? (Like change a jpg to gif.)

You say you used BitPim and P2KC , when you opened the filesystem in each does the file appear to be there before you try 'replacing' it? Or is the file never showing up at all?

Try putting it back in P2k Commander, then hitting "Reread" for the filesystem. Is it still there?

What happens when you save that file BACK to your computer once you've added it with bitpim? Does it save as a gif that you can see? When you talk about my pix... did you change location your phone looks for the opening and closing animations to your pix folder so you can change it through your phone? Otherwise, how are you looking at that file in my pix?

try transferring it while your phone is turned off, with the battery out... as in take the battery out and just plug it in and it will boot into a charging mode where the filesystem is still availble

When I tranfer the picture back to my computer using Bitpim I can see the animated gif so it is in the phone alright.I also tried loading it in using both programs with the battery out to no avail.

Hm... could this be a similar situation as with what happens if you delete verizon.gif? Like the phone totally forgets the location of the file so when you add it back in it doesn't work because it's no longer looking there? Seems like it must be, otherwise it would be working since the file is clearly on your phone.
