Hey ..
Just found your site after 3 days of trying to get into my rzr. Im a uscc customer..Have a V3M...Windows Vista...Can't get it to work....How important is the cable? I got a cheap one but Vista sees a mass storage device, but P2k won't run on my comp..,any ideas?

A regular USB cable should work with your V3m, regardless of how cheap the cable is.

If you're trying to get P2k to work it has to recognize your phone as a USB Composite Device, so that would have to deal with the drivers. I don't know where to find it for Vista though. Otherwise if you are just trying to get pics, mp3, or whatever else media on your V3m then i would suggest Motorola Phone Tools. You can use it without having to have a memory card. Otherwise, with a micro SD card your phone will be recognized as a USB Flash Drive, where you can just drag and drop files onto it.

I don't have USCC firmware on my Razr, but it sounds like your phone is set to be found a a mass storage device which is why Vista is seeing it that way. Go into menu>settings>connections and look for USB mode. If it is set to USB mass storage change it to modem and then try plugging it in and see how Vista sets it up.
