Cingular WAP Settings **PROBABLY NOT FREE*
This is for the v3xx, should be similar if not identical for all other Razr's with Cingular.
The settings for the Motorola RAZR v3xx are a tad bit different, but just messing with it for a little I got it to work.For the GRPS APN you have to put wap.cingular. This is what the correct information will look like:
Name: HackTheRAZR
Homepage:http://homepage
Proxy 1:wap.hacktherazr.com
Port 1:9201
Domain 1:
DNS 1:000.000.000.000
DNS 2:000.000.000.000
GPRS APN:wap.cingular
User Name:(whatever)
Password: (whatever)

WARNING: There has now been one report of someone getting charged for the data on their bill when using these settings! Be careful and if you have used it, let us know if you've been charged so we can determine if this is a consistant NON free WAP.

I'm not actually with Cingular, but Donki posted this info in the thread in the Verizon area about the Cingular service and so I put it up in the Cingular area so that everyone could get benefit out of it. I've never done DUN on Verizon so I wouldn't even know where to start or whether it would work with Cingular.

so all i needa do is change wap.cingular to somethin like live.vodafone.com?
see here in this tiny-arsed country we only have two main mobile networks, Vodafone NZ (being gsm) and Telecom NZ (being cdma). so im not quite sure which of these 8 or so american networks are the same as vodafone or at least close to being similar...
your thoughts people?
if you're quite a phone-nut then go to www.vodafone.co.nz , maybe here you could see which network its closest to..

Posted: Wed, 07/18/2007 - 22:54 by polycat33The only difference would probably the GPRS thing. However, as mentioned above this is most likely not going to be free for you, so be very careful. Getting charged for data by the kb can get real expensive real fast.

If you find out any good stuff about hacking the v3x's and are willing to write a guide let Styol know.

Posted: Fri, 10/05/2007 - 10:47 by brotatoripeople, i have learned the dns has something to do wtih the free wap. when i once typed the dns of my computer into my phone, and it worked for free, but the problem was, i coundnt leave the wap.hacktherazr.com web site, i was locked in. ive also heard that its the browser may be making it not go to other sites, but mabye if i could get it to do it again, i can try another browser, like opera mini.
