CDMA ERI File backup
Howdy!
OK, I finally took the plunge and got Vivo goin' on my VZW V3M. The only problem (mainly) I had was for the life of me I couldn't get my CDMA ERI File to re-load. PST 7.2.5 kept asking me to power cycle the phone and try again, which I did over and over and over and over, well, you get the point. I finally gave up and went on. I have compared all my setting pre to post flash and the only one different is pre ERI was '4', post is now '0'. Voice and texts work so far, but after doing all the *228 options, I still get a 'roaming' indicator out here.
Any ideas how I can get to reload my old ERI file?

Posted: Mon, 02/04/2008 - 17:00 by teddyearpWell, still no answer to this yet, no pressure, ya know :lol: But to expand on this little problem, I was very very careful about the backup of the Vivo 2742 seem B4 restoring all the others with Radiocomm, then very, very carefully went through all the edits for that seem. I see the first edit is offset 0042, bit 5 - checked, to allow loading the ERI file using PST.
I have double and triple checked that with no fixing me problem. Is there ANY other way to restore the data contained in my ERI file? QPST? P2K Commander? A seem edit? After all, that's part of the KEWL is having that 'Extended Area' or 'Verizon Wireless' on my phone that otherwise looks nothing at all like a VZW UI!

Posted: Wed, 02/06/2008 - 21:39 by teddyearp:lol: Well, I got the hook-up now to fix this problem. Goldmember over at HoFo suggested using RSD General to write the files I was having trouble with. So I did. And as far as I can tell, it worked! All I had to do afterwards was re-write the 2994 seem to b able to end out of GIN and mp3 player like in the 'post vivo flash' part of VZW VIVO HACKs part of HTR.
so I got my 'extended network' banner back, got my (fixed, thanks to thermo's post) brew file loaded, fixed everything as far as I know for now.
Now, I've placed quite a few files/programs on my server for anyone that wants/needs them. Go to my 'www' below and just add "/hacktherazr.com/files" (less the quotes of course) if'n ya want to get 'em without having to search or wait for rapidshare to let you. The only drawback is my upload bandwicth is a bit low, but WTF.
Also, note that this dir will look like HTR originals, but most all of them there will be .exe files so no-one has to have winzip or winrar to use them.
That's part of my way of saying F'N THANX!!!

Backup and Sync
