Not sure if I can help and don't understand where the 'icon' comes into it. I'm on VZW. But when I setup my BT headset, I turned it on, then selected 'search for devices' within my connections menu and then when it asked to connect to my headset and asked for a pswd (or something like that) I just hit four zero's and it worked. Now whenever I turn on my bt headset, it connects automatically.

good luck

yea i'd say we need some more details. As mentioned by Teddy that is the way it should work.

What carrier are you with.

What firmware is on the phone?

What BT headset are you messing with?

okay, i would suggest to undo the seem edits one at a time and see if one of those is the issue. i dont think that seem edits need to be made to enable the BT headset or any BT on Sprint for that matter, but I may be mistaken.

Hmm, no help from me this time. I'm having trouble as well in a way. My BT headset used to auto-connect every time I turned it on, now I have to go into my connections and delete it and re-set it up every time.

Maybe it's like a PC, time to re-load the software . . . .

@Teddy after setting up the BT headset have you gone into to device history and then selected the headset and checked the options. I know on my Telus v9m I had that issue at first and all I had to do was go in and set Access to Automatic then everytime I turn the headset on and turn BT on on the phone they automatically connected. Same thing I've done with my BT dongle on my desktop and laptops. Makes life simple.

As for hte OP sorry can't help myself never toyed with a sprint Razr, and seeing as they have a custom UI like VZW has I'd have no idea where to even start. My guess is it has to do with a seem edit tho like spike mentioned. If you made a backup of your original seem prior to editing anything I'd write that original back to the phone and then test it to see what's up. then move forward doing seems again but do them a couple at a time and double check the BT thing in between. that way you don't have a boat load of things done and not know which one may have messed something up. Peace

Yeah, pyde I guess your method works for now, but it used to be that whenever I just turned on my BT headset, it would automatically connect. Another note, it used to be that whenever I would power my phone on, the BT icon would flash as in probably 'looking' for any BT device. I am sure I'll figure it out sometime soon, probably another 'DUH' moment. I'm good for that these days . . . .

If I'm not mistaken there is a seem edit to have BT power on each time you turn your phone how. However IMO that is a bad idea it's just killing the battery faster by having BT turned on all the time. To save time I've just mapped my up arrow on the D-PAD to BT and just turn it on or off when needed. And Teddy Now that you set that to Auto it should work like you explain just grabbing it as long at BT is turned on on the phone now but that all depends on how you set your phone tho.
