Can V3c FULLY work on MetroPCS withOUT flashing?

FYI if yo udo leave the VZW firmware on it and have the device active on MetroPCS you WILL NOT be bale to get all data services working like you mentioned. The firmware wil be coded to point to VZW stuff which is why it will not work. And no it is no an easy task to try to manipulate it to make it work.

second the #073887* will be there on any flash. That is a proprietary part of the firmware Moto uses on all there stuff. It still even exists on there new Android devices.

third the firmware version you mentioned for your v3c you can't find must be incorrect. that info is the firmware for a v3m not a v3c so you know. However use this link (http://bushe102.googlepages.com/Moto_flash.htm) and you can find whatever firmware you need/want. they are marked whether they are upgrades or Monsters also.

well the difference between a v3c and a v3m is the t-flash card slot. so with a flash card and that f/w i'd say you have a v3m...the battery was made to fit either...you could flash with a generic. it only means it has no branding. the metro monster would have a metro splash screen. alltel would have the alltel splash screen and so on and so forth. i can't imagine why you'd wanna keep the VZW f/w on the phone. the moto f/w the metro and most others use is a lot less locked up.

The reason i'd like to keep VZW f/w is because it's the only one i know how to do Seem Edits on. What if i want to change the outside LCD image, or startup/shutdown animation on Metro PCS or Moto f/w? Is the Metro crippled in any way? I need DUN/tethering & USB transfers, as well.

I might go w/Moto f/w, since it may be less disabled. But, i need to make sure the Moto will FULLY work w/Metro PCS, especially MMS and WAP, too. If yes, does that mean i can flash other phone brands (e.g. LG, Samsung, etc) with their "Generic" f/w, and ALL features will work on ANY carrier??

Well, i flashed my V3m to Metro PCS monster, and it all went well. It took just 5 min w/RSD lite 4.3. Everything works fine, T-Flash, can edit Web Sessions via #0SETUP*, but NO notepad! And, it changed my phone number to 000-000-0000 :, and now 0, for operator does NOT work for collect calls....any way to give it a phone number??

I'm missing the bluetooth profile to transfer contacts from one phone to another, as well. Although, the VZW did NOT have that ability either. I've read here that the Alltel v3m f/w has that, and a nice music player to boot, too! If i flash again to Alltel will my v3m FULLY work w/ Metro PCS (MMS, WAP, DUN,)??
