BT xfer between phones
OK, I have activated my VZW V3m NEWC_01.05.0A -> flashed to USCC NCR_01.1B.00R on USCC's network. I know there is a wealth of info about this over @ HoFo, but I thought I'd ask here, just for kicks.
After the monster flash, but before activating it on USCC, I was able to xfer files via BT between this phone and my Vivo flashed phone active on VZW's network. Now that it's activated on USCC, any xfer stops. I have even used the seem edit:
Bytes: 0006, Seem: 0055, Record: 0001, and changed my Subsidy code to siz zero's and still no go.
Any thoughts/solutions?

what does the subsidy code
Posted: Thu, 10/02/2008 - 20:01 by listenman20what does the subsidy code have to do with it?... you have 2 moto ui phones and can't transfer from the uscc?...the option is not there or you get errors?
I don't really know what the

All I know is that before activating it, I was able to xfer over BT just fine, but now, no. I have many folks I work with that use USCC and although USCC uses the Moto UI, we cannot xfer files between our phones via BT. It will start, and the phones 'see' each other, but then the xfer just 'fails'.

Posted: Thu, 10/02/2008 - 20:14 by listenman20well sorry i'm not uscc, but some of my verizon ui's do that when transferring to moto ui if i try to transfer files that are not "user generated"
Just for kicks, my first
Posted: Thu, 10/02/2008 - 20:19 by teddyearpJust for kicks, my first success was xfer from the Vivo phone to the USCC phone BEFORE activation. After, no go. Haven't tried the other way.
Hoping for USCC users to populate this thread . . . .

Very odd to be honest. No
Posted: Fri, 10/03/2008 - 04:51 by pyde_pypperVery odd to be honest. No reason activating it should do anything. I have an employee of mine that has USCC and I'm able to transfer to his v3m just fine. Just have to bond the 2 phones and bam BT the file whether it be a pic or ringtone no prob

Yeah, pyde, I find it odd,
Posted: Sat, 10/04/2008 - 21:45 by teddyearpYeah, pyde, I find it odd, too. I've got ppl I work with on USCC, but we can't xfer btw our phones either. I haven't tried any xfers btw my USCC phone and theirs yet, though.
Just curious, when you xfer btw you and your employee's phones, are you using your USCC flashed V9m, or one of your other ones?
Thx.

I've used all of them except
Posted: Sun, 10/05/2008 - 12:30 by pyde_pypperI've used all of them except my Maxx Ve for obvious reason. v3c runnign Alltel back in the day, now running Telus. My sons v3m running Alltel, my v9m flashed to USCC, and even my actual Telus v9m.
How are you going about doing it? Specific as to how each phone is set before trying to transfer. What type of file you trying. Is it only ring tones or will nothing transfer. Another thing is do they happen to have a newer flash version then the leaked one we have. I know the one guy at work has the original ( ie the one you have more then likely).

Well, 2day I got stuff to
Posted: Sun, 10/05/2008 - 18:12 by teddyearpWell, 2day I got stuff to work. It seems that the file(s) I want to xfer need to be on the originating phones memory, and not the TF card, so I guess it doesn't have much to do with the SPC code and such. It still seems as though before activating the USCC phone, I was able to xfer a pic from the Vivo ~ VZW phone's TF card to the USCC flashed phone, but, what the heck. At least I'll stop searching for something that I won't ever find on this issue.
Oh yeah, as a p.s. the USCC f/w I'm using is NCR_01.1B.00R

yea if memory serves me you
Posted: Sun, 10/05/2008 - 18:42 by pyde_pypperyea if memory serves me you can not BT from the TF card to another phone. The file must reside on the phones internal memory. Can't recall myself as most times I'm sending ringtones I have and we know. That said obviously they are on the phones memory.
