Bootloader USB init
Good morning everyone! This is my first post on this forum so I'm considered a noob! I have been doing alot of searching but so far, have not gotten an answer to my dilemma...or an answer I can understand. I'm new to this whole phone hacking thing too, so please keep the tech lingo at an 8th grade level...on to the issue:
I was coming back from out east and I had a GPS program running on my Sprint v3m Razr phone, suddenly the phone locks up, powers down and when I turn it back on I first get the "Hellomoto" screen. Then it immediealty cycles to the "BOOTLOADER USB INIT" screen. Taking out the battery does not work. Plugging from a wall jack to USB does not work.
How can I get this phone back online? I don't care if I lose all my contacts or pictures...just want to get the phone back. I tried hooking it up to the computer and accessing Motorola Phone Tools (sfotware) but it says the phone is not recognized. Is there a download that I can get to return the system to normal? Please keep in mind I am new to this whole hacking thing! Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance!!

How old is the phone? If it's less then a year I'd take it into Sprint and get a warranty replacement if I were you. There is no reason the phone should have locked up like that and went to bootloader.Normally the only way to get to bootloader is by hold your * and # key down at the same time and then powering the phone on while holding those keys.
Currently using the New Moto Krave ZN4

Sprint says its dead and I would have to pay some change to get it fixed. Right now I'm using my back up phone...but would like my Razr back.
Like I said 0 I have done the whole take the battery out and replace as well as plugging it into the wall and seeing if it will come to life that way...no go.

Second...I have been doing alot of reading on flashing and if I read correctly I can/should use RSD Lite. Will I be be able to retain the Vision package (Internet, text messaging etc) and I will lose my phone book? Are there any flashes that I can use where I am able to retain these items.
If anyone can guide me through this process, or highlight some appropriate liks that would be great! Thanks!
Forgive my noobness!
