Axcess Web "authentication failed"
I traded a computer for a friends US Cellular V3M the ( M ) red version if it matters... anyway ... I flashed it to Alltel U using Monster Flash NCR_01.1A.00R and this guide http://mark.cdmaforums.com/HowToFlash-RSDL.htm phone calls to and from work texts fo and from work mms out works i havent recieved one to see if i can get them... the online catalog works although i have never bought anything just browsed i did a seem edit to get the using this site http://mark.cdmaforums.com/E815-V3C-Popular.htm and this seem 2742, Byte 7a, record 1, Offset 6a, enable bit3 but my axcess web keeps saying authentication failed i have tried my mdn/min as username and alltel Alltel esn and all cap esn as password ip as all zeros and gateway1 as wap1.alltel.net same for the second gateway i have called alltel tech support and they called me back but i missed their call so im hoping they will call me back tomorrow if you need anything else let me know
edit: also i was wondering if the telus firmware would help or work on the alltel prepaid with *228 and everything still working because i would like to have flash to play games but its not a priority just a question?

Posted: Mon, 06/30/2008 - 08:09 by KillerKellerjrYes you can flash to Telus firmware to have Java on Alltel, I do but I have a KRZR K1m, just no EVDO or MMS yet. I'm am an Alltel user too and should be able to help you out, I flash my phone a lot to other firmwares and should have the info/files you need to get your phone working 90%, no EVDO.
As shouldn't need to perform any changes since its a Alltel Monster Firmware. So you should backup your contacts with BitPim and reflash the Monster, that makes the phone as if it came from Motorola ready for Alltel service. Then go into the programming menu #073887* or #0SETUP* or it may be different for you and the code is 000000 (6 zeros), then go to the User Activation > NAM 1 and your MIN/MDN is your 10 digit phone number, then choose done. Next go to Extended NAM > NAM 1 and enter your CDMA Sys ID. (you may have to call CS to get your areas ID, there is also a webpage but can't find it right now) and then once you get out of the programming menu your phone will reset with the new settings and that should be it, you should have a 100% working phone on Alltel with Alltel firmware.

I think we need some more specific from you. I don't knwo what you mean on your Java statement in your post. And also I'm assuming you are talking DUN (dial up netowrking) in EV speeds. That there will be an issue that I can tell you. Plus it depends on the carrier you have whether it will even work or not.

Posted: Tue, 09/30/2008 - 19:38 by dlevanswhen i first started doing research about the RAZR i wanted java to play games but now java doesnt matter to me ... i flashed a cellular one v3m to alltel using a monster flash file everything works but the internet it keeps saying authentication failed for some reason ive changed the password, tried phone#@alltel.com, alltel.net and everyother combo i could think of and still nothing i called alltel and after a week of looking into it they couldnt figure it out so if anyone could figure out how to get the internet to work via a monster flash file and yes i want it to be able to hook up to my laptop

Posted: Wed, 10/01/2008 - 05:27 by pyde_pypperFirst off CellONE is a GSM carrier not CDMA. So I find it hard to believe you flashed a CellOne Razr to an Alltel flash. They use different types of hardware for the different network. Secondly when you talk internet and then say you want to use it hooked to your laptop those are 2 different things. Hooking to a laptop is DUN ( ie dial up networking), and have internet on the phone is WAP ( ie Mobile Web).
Now forgetting that part if the phone is in fact a CDMA Razr and you have Alltel for your service provider all you should need to do after the flash is dial *228 and do the over the air programming seeing as you have put Alltel Monster flash on the phone. The *228 should set everything up for you. Keep in mind tho Alltel may have there data service locked so you can't use them unless you purchase a data plan.
Bottom line is we need a lot more specfic details before anyone can help.

wap works at least the last time i tried it it worked my signal is to weak now to try
DUN does not and has not ever worked keeps saying authentication failed
i read on HowardForums about a new prl today i tried *228 and did number 2 but it said it was unable to complete over the air and to talk to a rep.
text, picture, sms, all messages go in and out fine
im half tempted to re-flash the phone and start from scratch if you need anything else just please let me know im sorry for being unclear im still kinda a noob at all this stuff thanks again for your help

Posted: Wed, 10/01/2008 - 15:08 by listenman20i got that message the other day when i tried to update the prl on one of my phones. i just waited 5 minutes and tried again. it went thru then. if it still doesn't work try *22899. that's supposed to force the update.
