AT&T RAZR V3xx, need to recover pictures from dropped ph

Greetings,
I am new here and hope for smarter-than-me help. I am trying to recover pictures of grand-daughter from son-in-law's RAZR V3xx. The phone works but the display does not. I am able to call in and out. The phone connects to XP-PRO as USB mass-media device. I have tried "DATAPILOT" but it needs a COM port / modem and I can's see a menu to configure. I an willing to throw the phone after I get the pictures so bells and whistles are unimportant. Thank you for your response and so does Grandma.
